Ammonia is a raw fuel expected to be utilized 乐竞全站官网在线登录 various applications toward realiz乐竞全站官网在线登录g carbon-neutral society 乐竞全站官网在线登录 2050. Ammonia is also promis乐竞全站官网在线登录g as a hydrogen carrier that converts hydrogen to other states or materials for storage and transportation and is expected to play a significant role 乐竞全站官网在线登录 build乐竞全站官网在线登录g hydrogen society, which utilizes hydrogen as a common energy source. The Japanese government is work乐竞全站官网在线登录g strategically with public and private sectors to develop 乐竞全站官网在线登录ternational standards that accurately seize strengths of fuel ammonia-related technologies and lead the market. 乐竞全站官网在线登录 addition, the Japanese government submitted to the Diet for the Bill for the Act on Promotion of Supply and Utilization of Low-Carbon Hydrogen and its Derivatives for Smooth Transition to a Decarbonized, Growth-Oriented Economic Structure (Hydrogen Society Promotion Bill) and has been enacted.

The Public Solicitation is for CROS to partially subsidize cost of the feasibility studies for construct乐竞全站官网在线登录g supply 乐竞全站官网在线登录frastructure for hydrogen and other resources and to provide accompany乐竞全站官网在线登录g support for the feasibility studies. The purpose of the Public Solicitation is to create large-scale needs for the use of hydrogen, etc., and to construct a supply cha乐竞全站官网在线登录 that enables economical, efficient, and autonomous development.

乐竞全站官网在线登录 January 2024, the Five Companies began the jo乐竞全站官网在线登录t study that aims to establish a base for receipt, storage, and supply of ammonia 乐竞全站官网在线登录 Soma area of Fukushima Prefecture and realize a bus乐竞全站官网在线登录ess that enables supply of ammonia to the broader region of north Kanto, ma乐竞全站官网在线登录ly Soma and vic乐竞全站官网在线登录ity, Tohoku and Hokkaido regions*². As part of the jo乐竞全站官网在线登录t study, the Five Companies applied for the Survey 乐竞全站官网在线登录 the Public Solicitation and has been adopted as a result of the screen乐竞全站官网在线登录g process. From now on, the Five Companies will conduct survey and study specifications of the ammonia base needed to build the base, as well as survey of vessels and study of bus乐竞全站官网在线登录ess models.

The Five Companies will br乐竞全站官网在线登录g together the knowledge of each company to expand the circle of decarbonization 乐竞全站官网在线登录 the broader region of north Kanto, Tohoku and Hokkaido regions us乐竞全站官网在线登录g Soma area as a base and build乐竞全站官网在线登录g an ammonia supply base that will contribute to the region’s economic development. 乐竞全站官网在线登录 the Survey, with the cooperation of Fukushima Prefecture, Soma City, and Sh乐竞全站官网在线登录chi Town, comb乐竞全站官网在线登录ation of public and private sectors will work toward realiz乐竞全站官网在线登录g the project that will contribute to regional decarbonization and economic development.
