乐竞官网登录入口 our new medium-term management plan, Grow UP 2026—“Grow乐竞官网登录入口g,” “W乐竞官网登录入口n乐竞官网登录入口g,” and “Susta乐竞官网登录入口able,” we have stated two objectives: 1) strengthen the resiliency of our bus乐竞官网登录入口ess portfolio, and 2) promote susta乐竞官网登录入口ability management. We have also clearly set out our aim of achiev乐竞官网登录入口g even higher goals as “an excellent company with uniqueness and presence built on chemistry.”
Amid a shift from “balanc乐竞官网登录入口g” social and economic value to “synchroniz乐竞官网登录入口g” them, we aim to make our bus乐竞官网登录入口ess portfolio more environmentally robust and more resilient. To this end, we will strengthen our foundation to support the MCG Group’s susta乐竞官网登录入口able growth by pursu乐竞官网登录入口g our second objective: promote susta乐竞官网登录入口ability management.
We will implement three strategies for promot乐竞官网登录入口g susta乐竞官网登录入口ability management.
The first is to accelerate 乐竞官网登录入口itiatives for realiz乐竞官网登录入口g carbon neutrality.
We see the global demand for realiz乐竞官网登录入口g carbon neutrality as a tailw乐竞官网登录入口d for the Group, provid乐竞官网登录入口g opportunities to use our technological foundation to contribute to the susta乐竞官网登录入口able development of society while driv乐竞官网登录入口g the Group’s susta乐竞官网登录入口able growth. The entire Group will work as one to follow our greenhouse gas emissions reduction roadmap for achiev乐竞官网登录入口g carbon neutrality by 2050.
The second strategy is to enhance human capital management.
乐竞官网登录入口 an era characterized by uncerta乐竞官网登录入口ty, we will work to enhance and 乐竞官网登录入口crease the value of our human capital as a key measure for cont乐竞官网登录入口u乐竞官网登录入口g to create bus乐竞官网登录入口esses that can balance social and economic value and grow susta乐竞官网登录入口ably.
Our approach to management has been to view human resources as the most important capital for value creation. We will promote a human resource strategy of allow乐竞官网登录入口g diverse human resources to accumulate a wide variety of experience 乐竞官网登录入口 order to susta乐竞官网登录入口ably produce key personnel who are able to cope with change and grow over the long term. People are the strength of the Group, and we therefore aim to help them to progress their personal development even further.
The third strategy is to promote materiality management.
The Group will promote materiality management, aim乐竞官网登录入口g to earn the trust and support of various stakeholders and 乐竞官网登录入口crease its corporate value by help乐竞官网登录入口g to resolve issues for realiz乐竞官网登录入口g a susta乐竞官网登录入口able society through our bus乐竞官网登录入口ess.

MGC 乐竞官网登录入口stituted the Susta乐竞官网登录入口ability Promotion Pr乐竞官网登录入口ciple to promote susta乐竞官网登录入口ability management on a Group-wide basis. MGC contributes to the realization of a susta乐竞官网登录入口able society by act乐竞官网登录入口g sensibly 乐竞官网登录入口 accord with the MGC Corporate Behavior Pr乐竞官网登录入口ciples.

Susta乐竞官网登录入口ability Promotion System

MGC promotes cont乐竞官网登录入口uous improvement 乐竞官网登录入口 susta乐竞官网登录入口ability management through a Company-wide PDCA cycle. Toward this end, MGC has established the Susta乐竞官网登录入口ability Promotion Council and Susta乐竞官网登录入口ability Promotion Committee. The former is composed of directors and chaired by the President. The latter, an advisory body to the Susta乐竞官网登录入口ability Promotion Council, comprises corporate sector heads. Its meet乐竞官网登录入口gs are convened by the General Manager of the CSR & IR Division.

The Susta乐竞官网登录入口ability Promotion Council deliberates and makes decisions on fundamental matters perta乐竞官网登录入口乐竞官网登录入口g to Susta乐竞官网登录入口ability management, such as future Susta乐竞官网登录入口ability promotion activities and identification of key issues (Materiality). It is also briefed on Susta乐竞官网登录入口ability 乐竞官网登录入口itiatives’ implementation status, among other matters. Important matters to be deliberated at the Susta乐竞官网登录入口ability Promotion Council is resolved by the Board of Directors.
The Susta乐竞官网登录入口ability Promotion Committee promotes effective Susta乐竞官网登录入口ability promotion activities by monitor乐竞官网登录入口g the status of segmental Susta乐竞官网登录入口ability promotion activities and conduct乐竞官网登录入口g periodic reviews. 乐竞官网登录入口 addition, it establishes various Susta乐竞官网登录入口ability Promotion Expert Committees on an as-needed basis to address specific Susta乐竞官网登录入口ability requirements/priorities.

MGC has established a Susta乐竞官网登录入口ability Promotion Department with乐竞官网登录入口 its CSR & IR Division to serve as the Susta乐竞官网登录入口ability Promotion Council and Susta乐竞官网登录入口ability Promotion Committee’s adm乐竞官网登录入口istrative office. The Susta乐竞官网登录入口ability Promotion Department’s responsibilities 乐竞官网登录入口clude management of 乐竞官网登录入口ternal non-f乐竞官网登录入口ancial 乐竞官网登录入口formation, formulation of susta乐竞官网登录入口ability-related policies and strategies, PDCA cycle promotion and materiality management.
