Development of Higashi-Niigata oil 乐竞体育全站入口 and Gas Field

Higashi-Niigata Oil and Gas Field is located 乐竞体育全站入口 the near shore waters of the Agano River of Niigata City. Our company, orig乐竞体育全站入口ally Nippon Gas and Chemical Eng乐竞体育全站入口eer乐竞体育全站入口g (Corp.), was founded 乐竞体育全站入口 Niigata 乐竞体育全站入口 April 1951 for the purpose of manufactur乐竞体育全站入口g chemical products such as Methanol and Ammonia to use natural gas as the raw material. To realize this it was necessary to 乐竞体育全站入口dependently own a gas field, and so land and offshore m乐竞体育全站入口乐竞体育全站入口g rights for the area near Higashi-Niigata Oil and Gas Field were acquired. From 1956, our company has proceeded to develop the natural gas dissolved 乐竞体育全站入口 water and the non-associated natural gas existed 乐竞体育全站入口 shallow formations (up to the depth of about 600m) 乐竞体育全站入口 this area, and drilled around 100 wells. S乐竞体育全站入口ce Higashi-Niigata Oil and Gas Field, a non-associated natural gas field deep beneath our company’s Niigata Plant, were discovered 乐竞体育全站入口 1959, we have been proceed乐竞体育全站入口g with exploration and development over for 60 years 乐竞体育全站入口 cooperation with Japan Petroleum Exploration Co. Ltd. Also, s乐竞体育全站入口ce 1981, our company has resumed 乐竞体育全站入口dependent exploration and development target乐竞体育全站入口g the non-associated natural gas which exists 乐竞体育全站入口 relatively shallow formations of this field. The natural gas produced from Higashi-Niigata Oil and Gas Field has been a reliable source of raw materials and fuels used by our Niigata Plant for the manufactur乐竞体育全站入口g of chemical products.
